Illinois High School Basketball - Metamora edges South County
January 21, 2023: Metamora, IL 61548 The Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) basketball nipped the visiting South County Stallions (Lorton, VA), 61-59 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Redbirds (19-2) will now prepare for their test against Manual (Peoria, IL). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 13-5 record. In their last test, Manual got by South County (Lorton, VA), 68-53, in a non-league test.
The Stallions now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to West Potomac for a District 4 test on Tuesday, January 24. South County will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 49-36 league win over Lake Braddock (Burke, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 9-6.
