California High School Basketball - Holy Names can't hold off Castlemont
January 21, 2023: Oakland, CA 94605 The Castlemont Knights basketball team scored 1 points and held the visiting Holy Names Monarchs to 0 in the Knights non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Knights now sport a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Skyline for a Oakland contest on Wednesday, January 25. Castlemont will battle a Titans team coming off a 25-16 league loss to Fremont (Oakland, CA). The Titans record now stands at 3-6.
The Monarchs (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Contra Costa Christian (Walnut Creek, CA). The Cougars enter the Bay Counties - General contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Contra Costa Christian nudged Fremont Christian (Fremont, CA), 42-18, in a league bout.
