Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Shamokin Area trounces Midd-West
January 22, 2024: Middleburg, PA 17842 The Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) basketball crushed the host Midd-West Mustangs (Middleburg, PA), 71-31 in Monday's league test.
The Indians (12-3) will now prepare for their test against Mifflinburg (Mifflinburg, PA). The Wildcats go into the Heartland III test with a 1-13 record. In their last test, Mifflinburg was trounced by Hughesville (Hughesville, PA), 69-15, in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now own a 1-14 record. They play next when they travel to Montoursville for a Heartland II test on Wednesday, January 24. Midd-West will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 55-23 non-league win over Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-9.
