Maine High School Basketball - Spruce Mountain holds off Mount Abram
January 22, 2025: Jay, ME 04239 The Spruce Mountain Phoenix basketball team scored 63 points and limited the visiting Mount Abram Roadrunners to 57 in the Phoenix non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Phoenix now have a 13-2 record. They play next when they travel to Madison for a non-league game on Friday, January 24. Spruce Mountain will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 82-45 non-league win over Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-6.
With the loss, Mount Abram falls to 13-2 on the campaign. The Roadrunners travel to Maranacook (Readfield, ME) to confront the Black Bears in a non-league game on Friday, January 24. The Black Bears go into the game with a record of 8-6. Maranacook won 59-49 in their recent non-league game against Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME)
