Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks (Grainfield, KS) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Western Plains Bobcats (Ransom, KS), 38-31 in a league match.

With the victory, Wheatland-Grinnell advances its record to 11-3 on the year. The Thunderhawks travel to Trego (WaKeeney, KS) to confront the Golden Eagles in a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 27. The Golden Eagles go into the contest with a record of 7-7. Trego lost 48-41 in their recent non-league contest against Oakley (Oakley, KS)
