The Elkhorn Valley Falcons (Tilden, NE) basketball felled the host Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE), 48-35 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Falcons (11-4) will now prepare for their test against Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] (Clearwater, NE). The Bobcats go into the D1 District 5 test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] thwarted Osmond (Osmond, NE), 64-42, in a non-league test.

The Spartans now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Spalding Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 26. Boyd County will encounter a Shamrocks squad coming off a 61-16 non-league loss to Nebraska Christian (Central City, NE). The Shamrocks record now stands at 1-10.
