In Friday's league test, the North Putnam Cougars (Roachdale, IN) basketball squad edged the visiting North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers (Crawfordsville, IN), by a tally of 40-39.

The Cougars now possess a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Owen Valley for a Western Indiana bout on Saturday, January 24. North Putnam will play a Patriots team coming off a 44-40 non-league loss to Mooresville Christian (Mooresville, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 2-13.

The Chargin' Chargers (3-10) will now prepare for their test against Victory College Prep (Indianapolis, IN). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 2-10 record. In their last test, Victory College Prep held off BELIEVE Circle City (Indianapolis, IN), 62-42, in a non-league test.
