North Carolina High School Basketball - Mount Pleasant holds off South Stanly
January 24, 2023: Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) and the visiting South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), saw Mount Pleasant's basketball squad hold off South Stanly by a tally of 71-65.
With the victory, Mount Pleasant improves its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Albemarle (Albemarle, NC) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A/2A Conference 35 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 10-8. Albemarle won 86-38 in their recent league challenge against Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC)
Next up, the Rowdy Rebel Bulls confront the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 35 challenge, on Friday, January 27. South Stanly will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 62-47 league win over Union Academy (Monroe, NC).
