The Centennial Coyotes basketball squad (Peoria, AZ), was nudged 88-84 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Liberty Lions (Peoria, AZ)

With the victory, Liberty advances its record to 13-7 on the year. The Lions host Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ) to meet the Jaguars in a 6A Desert Valley battle on Tuesday, January 28. The Jaguars enter the battle with a record of 16-4. Boulder Creek won 66-54 in their recent non-league battle against Cesar Chavez (Laveen, AZ)

The Coyotes now own a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Havasu for a 5A Northwest Valley battle on Monday, January 27. Centennial will meet a Knights squad coming off a 74-56 league loss to Kellis (Glendale, AZ). The Knights record now stands at 3-12.
