Metter Tigers (Metter, GA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Montgomery County Eagles (Mt. Vernon, GA), 64-60 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Metter advances its record to 6-9 on the year. The Tigers host Savannah Classical Academy (Savannah, GA) to face the Spartans in a non-league match on Monday, January 27. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 7-9.

The Eagles now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they travel to Telfair County for a A D2 Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 31.
