In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Hawken Hawks (Gates Mills, OH) basketball squad felled the visiting Lake Catholic Cougars (Mentor, OH), by a margin of 44-34.

The Hawks (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against Orange (Pepper Pike, OH). The Lions go into the Chagrin Valley - Chagrin outing with a 4-9 record. In their last outing, Orange was beaten by Chagrin Falls (Chagrin Falls, OH), 36-25, in a league outing.
