South Dakota High School Basketball - Groton crushes Northwestern Area
January 27, 2022: Mellette, SD 57461 Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD), 52-29 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Groton upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Tigers travel to Faulkton (Faulkton, SD) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 3. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 9-5.
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Langford Lions (Langford, SD) in a B Region 1 bout, on Friday, January 28. Northwestern Area will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 50-29 league loss to Warner (Warner, SD).
