Ohio High School Basketball - Mapleton fells Black River
January 27, 2024: Sullivan, OH 44880 Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH) backers were content Saturday as they observed their basketball team notch a victory over the host Black River Pirates (Sullivan, OH), 50-39 in a non-league game.
In their next game, the Mounties face the Plymouth Big Red (Plymouth, OH) in a Firelands game, on Tuesday, January 30. Mapleton will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The Big Red enter the game with a 8-8 record after their 50-35 league win over St. Paul (Norwalk, OH).
With the defeat, Black River moves to 7-8 on the year. The Pirates host South Central (Greenwich, OH) to face the Trojans in a non-league game on Monday, January 29. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 12-4. South Central won 47-34 in their recent league game against Western Reserve (Collins, OH)
