Mystic Valley Regional Eagles (Malden, MA) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Pioneer Charter School of Science II Pirates (Saugus, MA), 40-34 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Mystic Valley Regional advances its record to 1-1 on the year. The Eagles host Lowell Catholic (Lowell, MA) to face the Crusaders in a non-league match on Friday, January 31. The Crusaders enter the match with a record of 0-0.
