Rhode Island High School Basketball - Exeter-West Greenwich can't hold off North Smithfield
January 28, 2022: North Smithfield, RI 02896 The Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights basketball team (West Greenwich, RI), was nudged 57-52 in Friday's league battle with the host North Smithfield Northmen (North Smithfield, RI)
The Northmen now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ponaganset for a Division 3 battle on Monday, January 31. North Smithfield will battle a Chieftains team coming off a 57-53 league loss to Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI). The Chieftains record now stands at 9-3.
The Scarlet Knights (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Prout (Wakefield, RI). The Crusaders come into the Division 3 battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Prout edged Highlander Charter (Warren, RI), 63-62, in a league battle.
