Howells-Dodge Jaguars (Howells, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Stanton Mustangs (Stanton, NE), 37-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Howells-Dodge upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Jaguars travel to North Bend Central (North Bend, NE) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 31. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 17-1. North Bend Central won 51-33 in their recent non-league bout against Wisner-Pilger (Wisner, NE)

Next up, the Mustangs play the West Point-Beemer Cadets (West Point, NE) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 31. Stanton will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Cadets go into the bout with a 6-13 record after their 46-20 non-league loss to Wisner-Pilger (Wisner, NE).
