January 28, 2023: Phoenix, AZ 85013 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Dishchii’bikoh Wildcats (Cibecue, AZ) and the host Valley Lutheran Flames (Phoenix, AZ), saw Dishchii’bikoh's basketball squad hold off Valley Lutheran by a tally of 61-55.
With the victory, Dishchii’bikoh improves its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Fort Thomas (Fort Thomas, AZ) to play the Apaches in a 1A Copper challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Apaches come into the challenge with a record of 15-9. Fort Thomas won 74-60 in their recent league challenge against Mogollon (Heber, AZ)
Next up, the Flames play the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions (Avondale, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 30. Valley Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 1-22 record after their 56-29 league loss to Heritage Academy (Laveen, AZ).
