In Saturday's non-league match, the host Minden Whippets basketball team scored a tight 54-51 triumph over the Gothenburg Swedes.

In their next game, the Whippets meet the Cozad Haymakers (Cozad, NE) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 3. Minden will attempt to move on its 16-3 season record.
