North Carolina High School Basketball - South Point fells Ashbrook

January 28, 2025: Gastonia, NC 28054

The South Point Red Raiders basketball team scored 60 points and limited the host Ashbrook Greenwave to 42 in the Red Raiders league triumph on Tuesday.

The Red Raiders now have a 14-4 record. They play next when they host Forestview for a 3A Big South game on Friday, January 31. South Point will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 92-56 league loss to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 8-11.

With the loss, Ashbrook falls to 6-11 on the campaign. The Greenwave travel to Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC) to confront the Mountaineers in a 3A Big South game on Friday, January 31. The Mountaineers go into the game with a record of 1-18. Kings Mountain lost 62-18 in their recent league game against Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC)
