The Mount Vernon Tigers basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Harmony Eagles to 32 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chapel Hill for a 3A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, February 2. Mount Vernon will clash with a Red Devils squad coming off a 57-38 league loss to Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX). The Red Devils record now stands at 7-3.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Mineola Yellowjackets (Mineola, TX) in a 3A Region II District 13 bout, on Tuesday, February 2. Harmony will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record.
