The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Portage Mustangs (Portage, PA) and the visiting Conemaugh Township Indians (Davidsville, PA), observed Portage's basketball team edge Conemaugh Township by a score of 49-46.

The Mustangs (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Cambria Heights (Patton, PA). The Highlanders come into the Heritage challenge with a 14-5 record. In their last challenge, Cambria Heights edged Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA), 52-21, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians encounter the United Lions (Armagh, PA) in a Heritage challenge, on Friday, January 31. Conemaugh Township will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record.
