The Mingus Marauders (Cottonwood, AZ) basketball toppled the host Flagstaff Eagles (Flagstaff, AZ), 56-40 in Thursday's league bout.

The Marauders now possess a 19-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mohave for a 4A Grand Canyon bout on Friday, January 30. Mingus will play a Thunderbirds team coming off a 65-38 league loss to Coconino (Flagstaff, AZ). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 4-16.

The Eagles (14-9) will now prepare for their test against Bradshaw Mountain (Prescott Valley, AZ). The Bears come into the 4A Grand Canyon test with a 3-11 record. In their last test, Bradshaw Mountain went down by Prescott (Prescott, AZ), 72-54, in a league test.
