Indiana High School Basketball - Anderson toppled by New Castle

January 29, 2026: New Castle, IN 47362

New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Anderson Indians (Anderson, IN), 55-47 in a non-league match.

With the victory, New Castle upgrades its record to 14-7 on the year. The Trojans travel to Jay County (Portland, IN) to confront the Patriots in a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 3. The Patriots go into the contest with a record of 15-7. Jay County won 76-21 in their recent league contest against Heritage (Monroeville, IN)

In their next game, the Indians confront the Noblesville Millers (Noblesville, IN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 31. Anderson will attempt to better on its 7-15 season record. The Millers go into the contest with a 8-11 record after their 49-39 non-league loss to Pendleton Heights (Pendleton, IN).
