North Carolina High School Basketball - Lake Norman Charter can't hold off Central Cabarrus

Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC), 80-77 in a league match.

With the victory, Central Cabarrus upgrades its record to 6-6 on the year. The Vikings travel to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC) to face the Falcons in a 3A South Piedmont match on Tuesday, January 7. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 2-8. West Rowan lost 67-33 in their recent league match against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC)

The Knights now sport a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Rowan for a 3A South Piedmont match on Tuesday, January 7. Lake Norman Charter will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 60-53 league win over South Rowan (China Grove, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-10.
