The Monticello Billies basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Star City Bulldogs to 43 in the Billies league triumph on Tuesday.

The Billies now sport a 7-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crossett for a 4A Region 8 contest on Wednesday, January 31.

The Bulldogs (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against Mills University Studies (Little Rock, AR). The Comets enter the 4A Region 8 contest with a 16-8 record. In their last contest, Mills University Studies ran past Stuttgart (Stuttgart, AR), 89-38, in a league contest.
