North Carolina High School Basketball - West Mecklenburg nips West Charlotte

West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC), 51-48 in a league bout.

With the win, West Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Hawks host Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) to play the Mavericks in a 3A/4A Queen City bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Mallard Creek lost 61-59 in their recent league bout against Hopewell (Huntersville, NC)

Next up, the Lions play the Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC) in a 3A/4A Queen City bout, on Friday, February 2. West Charlotte will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 61-59 league win over Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC).
