New York High School Basketball - Cardinal Hayes triumphant over Brandeis
January 30, 2025: Bronx, NY 10451 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals (Bronx, NY) and the visiting Brandeis Bulldogs (New York, NY), observed Cardinal Hayes's basketball team overwhelm Brandeis by a score of 88-60.
The Cardinals (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Iona Prep (New Rochelle, NY). The Gaels come into the Catholic AA - New York challenge with a 11-7 record. In their last challenge, Iona Prep trounced Chaminade (Mineola, NY), 66-41, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the DeWitt Clinton Governors (Bronx, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 3. Brandeis will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Governors come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 55-52 non-league loss to Marshall Academy (New York, NY).
