Second Baptist Eagles (Houston, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Kelly Catholic Bulldogs (Beaumont, TX), 70-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Second Baptist upgrades its record to 21-8 on the season. The Eagles host St. John XXIII (Katy, TX) to clash with the Lions in a TAPPS 5A District 5 bout on Friday, February 3. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 8-18. St. John XXIII won 62-54 in their recent league bout against Lutheran South Academy (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Frassati Catholic Falcons (Spring, TX) in a TAPPS 5A District 5 bout, on Friday, February 3. Kelly Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 10-23 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 16-13 record after their 53-31 league loss to Lutheran South Academy (Houston, TX).
