The Ashley Screaming Eagle basketball team (Wilmington, NC), was routed 59-38 in Tuesday's league battle with the host New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC)

The Wildcats now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Topsail for a 3A/4A Conference 20 battle on Friday, January 7. New Hanover will battle a Pirates team coming off a 76-49 league loss to North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 3-9.

The Screaming Eagle (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Vikings come into the 3A/4A Conference 20 battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Hoggard trounced South Brunswick (Southport, NC), 47-33, in a league battle.
