In Wednesday's league outing, the Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) basketball squad edged the visiting Paramount Pirates (Paramount, CA), by a margin of 48-47.

The Vikings (13-4) will now prepare for their outing against Mayfair (Lakewood, CA). The Monsoons go into the San Gabriel Valley outing with a 2-4 record.

The Pirates now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Warren for a San Gabriel Valley outing on Friday, January 13.
