The Griffin Bears basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Midtown Knights to 56 in the Bears non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bears now possess a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Mundy's Mill for a AAAA Region 3 game on Tuesday, January 7. Griffin will confront a Tigers team coming off a 62-57 league win over Northside (Columbus, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Midtown falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Knights host Drew (Riverdale, GA) to confront the in a AAAA Region 4 game on Tuesday, January 7. The go into the game with a record of 6-6. Drew won 85-53 in their recent non-league game against Mt. Zion (Jonesboro, GA)
