Iowa High School Basketball - West Monona nudges Trinity Christian
January 5, 2021: Onawa, IA 51040 West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Trinity Christian Tigers (Hull, IA), 51-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, West Monona upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Spartans travel to Tekamah-Herman (Tekamah, NE) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 7. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Tekamah-Herman won 70-52 in their recent non-league bout against Madison (Madison, NE)
Next up, the Tigers clash with the Unity Christian Knights (Orange City, IA) in a War Eagle bout, on Friday, January 8. Trinity Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 73-48 league win over Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA).
