Midland Eagles (Wyoming, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Starmont Stars (Arlington, IA), 51-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Midland upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Eagles travel to Clayton-Ridge (Guttenburg, IA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Clayton-Ridge lost 64-28 in their recent league bout against South Winneshiek (Calmar, IA)

Next up, the Stars clash with the Prince of Peace Prep Irish (Clinton, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Starmont will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Irish go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 66-36 non-league loss to Alburnett (Alburnett, IA).
