With the victory, St. Charles Catholic upgrades its record to 12-11 on the year. The Comets travel to Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA) to face the Lions in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. The Lions enter the match with a record of 6-5. Covenant Christian Academy won 45-30 in their recent non-league match against Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy (Westwego, LA)
The Lions now sport a 17-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mandeville for a 5A District 6 match on Tuesday, January 7. Covington will face a Skippers squad coming off a 43-37 non-league loss to Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA). The Skippers record now stands at 15-12.
