Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Wallenpaupack Area topples Pocono Mountain East
January 7, 2023: Hawley, PA 18428 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns (Hawley, PA) basketball squad beat the visiting Pocono Mountain East Cardinals (Swiftwater, PA), by a count of 61-53.
The Buckhorns (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA). The Wildcats go into the Lackawanna 2 outing with a 0-7 record. In their last outing, Western Wayne was topped by West Scranton (Scranton, PA), 59-20, in a league outing.
The Cardinals now hold a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Northampton for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 10. Pocono Mountain East will clash with a Konkrete Kids squad coming off a 60-34 non-league win over Stroudsburg (Stroudsburg, PA). The Konkrete Kids record now stands at 3-6.
