North Carolina High School Basketball - Hoggard overwhelms Topsail

January 7, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28403

The Hoggard Vikings basketball team scored 83 points and limited the visiting Topsail Pirates to 43 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.

The Vikings now possess a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Laney for a 3A/4A Mideastern game on Friday, January 10. Hoggard will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 81-23 league win over South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Topsail falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Pirates host West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC) to confront the Trojans in a 3A/4A Mideastern game on Friday, January 10. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 8-6. West Brunswick lost 47-42 in their recent league game against Ashley (Wilmington, NC)
