Maine High School Basketball - Lake Region toppled by York
January 7, 2025: York, ME 03909 York Wildcats (York, ME) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME), 63-54 in a league match.
With the victory, York upgrades its record to 10-0 on the year. The Wildcats host Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME) to face the Rams in a non-league match on Saturday, January 11. The Rams enter the match with a record of 6-4. Kennebunk won 66-57 in their recent league match against Biddeford (Biddeford, ME)
The Lakers now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cape Elizabeth for a B South match on Thursday, January 9. Lake Region will face a Capers squad coming off a 72-61 non-league win over Waynflete (Portland, ME). The Capers record now stands at 3-6.
