January 7, 2025: Moorhead, MN 56560 Moorhead Spuds (Moorhead, MN) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Sheyenne Mustangs (West Fargo, ND), 76-61 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Moorhead upgrades its record to 8-3 on the year. The Spuds travel to Southwest Christian (Chaska, MN) to face the Stars in a non-league match on Friday, January 10. The Stars enter the match with a record of 2-4. Southwest Christian won 60-54 in their recent non-league match against Jefferson (Bloomington, MN)
The Mustangs now sport a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Red River for a AA East match on Friday, January 10. Sheyenne will face a Roughriders squad coming off a 81-69 league win over Fargo North (Fargo, ND). The Roughriders record now stands at 6-3.
