The George Washington Eagles basketball team scored 46 points and limited the host Halifax County Comets to 39 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Charlottesville for a non-league game on Monday, January 13. George Washington will confront a Black Knights team coming off a 71-37 non-league win over Tournament Team (, ). The Black Knights record now stands at 7-1.
