Georgia High School Basketball - Tiftarea Academy overwhelms Echols County
January 8, 2021: Statenville, GA 31648 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Tiftarea Academy Panthers (Chula, GA) and the host Echols County Wildcats (Statenville, GA), saw Tiftarea Academy's basketball squad wallop Echols County by a tally of 52-27.
With the victory, Tiftarea Academy improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Westfield School (Perry, GA) to confront the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 9. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 6-0. Westfield School won 59-19 in their recent league challenge against Bethlehem Christian Academy (Bethlehem, GA)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Irwin County Indians (Ocilla, GA) in a A Public Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 12. Echols County will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 50-46 league win over Turner County (Ashburn, GA).
