In Saturday's non-league outing, the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS), by a margin of 52-26.

The Commodores (14-4) will now prepare for their outing against Hutchison (Memphis, TN). The Sting go into the non-league outing with a 3-3 record. In their last outing, Hutchison was trounced by Blackman (Murfreesboro, TN), 57-32, in a non-league outing.

The Tigers now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they host South Panola for a 6A Region 3 outing on Tuesday, January 11.
