The River Valley Panthers basketball squad (Blairsville, PA), was crushed 79-48 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting United Lions (Armagh, PA)

With the victory, United advances its record to 10-2 on the year. The Lions host Purchase Line (Commodore, PA) to meet the Red Dragons in a Heritage battle on Friday, January 10. The Red Dragons enter the battle with a record of 2-10. Purchase Line lost 58-35 in their recent league battle against Cambria Heights (Patton, PA)

The Panthers now own a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northern Cambria for a Heritage battle on Friday, January 10. River Valley will meet a Colts squad coming off a 47-45 league loss to Homer-Center (Homer City, PA). The Colts record now stands at 8-4.
