Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI), 73-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Coventry upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Oakers travel to Burrillville (Harrisville, RI) to play the Broncos in a Division 2 bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Broncos come into the bout with a record of 8-3. Burrillville lost 63-55 in their recent league bout against Tolman (Pawtucket, RI)

Next up, the Patriots play the South Kingstown Rebels (Wakefield, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Pilgrim will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Rebels come into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 49-48 league loss to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI).
