McLeod Longhorns (McLeod, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Big Sandy Wildcats (Big Sandy, TX), 68-60 in a league bout.

With the win, McLeod upgrades its record to 26-2 on the season. The Longhorns host Union Grove (Gladewater, TX) to clash with the Lions in a 2A Region III District 21 bout on Friday, January 12. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 8-10. Union Grove won 73-72 in their recent league bout against Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX)
