California High School Basketball - Independence overwhelms Liberty

January 9, 2025: Bakersfield, CA 93312

The Independence Falcons basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host Liberty Patriots to 38 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Falcons now possess a 11-6 record. They play next when they host Ridgeview for a South Yosemite - Valley game on Tuesday, January 14. Independence will confront a Wolf Pack team coming off a 59-49 league loss to Bakersfield Christian (Bakersfield, CA). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 7-9.

With the loss, Liberty falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Frontier (Bakersfield, CA) to confront the Titans in a South Yosemite - River game on Tuesday, January 14. The Titans go into the game with a record of 8-12. Frontier lost 58-54 in their recent non-league game against North (Bakersfield, CA)
