Ohio High School Basketball - Western Reserve thwarts Mineral Ridge

January 9, 2025: Berlin Center, OH 44401

The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Western Reserve Blue Devils (Berlin Center, OH) and the visiting Mineral Ridge Rams (Mineral Ridge, OH), observed Western Reserve's basketball team knock off Mineral Ridge by a score of 55-44.

The Blue Devils (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Springfield (New Middletown, OH). The Tigers come into the Mahoning Valley - Scarlet challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Springfield dropped by Girard (Girard, OH), 59-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams encounter the Grand Valley Mustangs (Orwell, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Mineral Ridge will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 55-50 league loss to Bristol (Bristolville, OH).
