In Friday's non-league test, the Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) basketball squad defeated the host North Creek Jaguars (Bothell, WA), by a score of 60-49.

Next, the Islanders clash with the North Kitsap Vikings (Poulsbo, WA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 10. Mercer Island will attempt to move on its 10-3 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 45-44 league win over North Mason (Belfair, WA).

With the loss, North Creek falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Mount Si (Snoqualmie, WA) to play the Wildcats in a 4A KingCo bout on Wednesday, January 14.
