The North Reading Hornets topped the visiting Wilmington Wildcats volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Tuesday's non-league game.

Next up, the Hornets confront the Essex Tech Hawks (Hathorne, MA) in a Cape Ann game, on Wednesday, October 2. North Reading will attempt to advance on its 6-5 season record.

The Wildcats (1-11) will now prepare for their game against Reading Memorial (Reading, MA). The Rockets go into the Middlesex game with a 4-8 record. In their last game, Reading Memorial was dropped by Longmeadow (Longmeadow, MA), 3-0, in a non-league game.
