East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Central Knights (Providence, RI), 4-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, East Providence moves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Townies host La Salle Academy (Providence, RI) to clash with the Rams in a Division 1 test on Saturday, October 4. The Rams come into the test with a record of 8-2. La Salle Academy won 2-0 in their recent league outing against North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI)

Next up, the Knights confront the Classical Purple (Providence, RI) in a Division 1 outing, on Tuesday, October 7. Central will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Purple go into the outing with a 4-6 record after their 1-0 league win over Cumberland (Cumberland, RI).
