Colorado High School Flag Football - Chaparral can't hold off Douglas County

October 9, 2025: Parker, CO 80134

Douglas County Huskies (Castle Rock, CO) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their flag football team tip the host Chaparral Wolverines (Parker, CO), 12-6 in a league battle.

With the win, Douglas County advances its record to 11-3 on the season. The Huskies travel to Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, CO) to play the Bruins in a non-league battle on Saturday, October 11. The Bruins go into the match with a record of 9-4. Cherry Creek lost 33-7 in their recent league match against Grandview (Aurora, CO)

Coming up next, the Wolverines meet the Ponderosa Mustangs (Parker, CO) in a 5A/4A Continental match, on Saturday, October 11. Chaparral will attempt to upgrade on its 11-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the match with a 5-9 record after their 26-0 non-league loss to Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO).
